Initially, we will spend some time on the phone to discuss your project and to determine if we are a good fit for each other. It is imperative to us that we have a relationship based on trust. If we both agree that we may be a good fit for each other, and are on the same page, we will schedule a site visit.
The Process - Meticulous Planning
With close to 40 years in the high end construction business, The Dillon Group, Ltd takes special care to understand the unique needs of each of our clients in order to design custom solutions that will exceed your expectations.
Our passionate, attentive team of Project Managers, Job Site Supervisors, Craftsmen, and Subcontractors make every effort to ensure that you are 100% satisfied. We bring all of our experiences and meticulous planning to every project large or small.
Our unparalleled history and experiences, attention to detail, high end construction, and project management ensure that we deliver nothing but excellence to our clients. Innovation, planning, and design balanced with good judgement, cost efficiency, and our own moral compass guarantee that we respect your budget, your vision, your home, and your family.
We will visit your home or property to discuss further the size, scope, and vision for your project. Project costs and construction duration will vary according to the scope and specifications of your project, and are not remotely synonymous with any 'do-it-yourself', H.G.T.V., programs. Because it's on TV, doesn't mean that it is true, or that it is the 'correct' installation or methodology for your home, or for our Northeast Region and climate.
Square foot pricing, alone, is not an indicator of project cost, especially in your renovation and Remodeling Projects. In order to control costs and efficiency, we operate as a Design/Build firm and collaborate with some of the finest, Classically trained Professional Architects in the business. If you are already working with your own Professional Designer, Architect, or Engineer we will review your plans and help determine the feasibility and very early budget parameters. We are happy to work with your Professionals as long as their share our values.
Scope, Specifications, and Project Budget -
We consider the age, condition, and location of your home. Are there site or structural conditions related to or that must be remedied in order to complete your project safely and efficiently? We'll determine the nuances of zoning, conservation, permitting, and neighborhood groups. For decades we have worked in Boston's Historic Districts of the South End, Back Bay and Beacon Hill, Metro-West (including Chestnut Hill, Newton, and Cambridge), the Cape and the Islands, and with Conservation Commissions of the North Shore. Using our own historical data and experiences with homes like yours we will prepare a complimentary, conceptual, budget and range. If this budgetary range falls within your intended budget and vision you can decide whether or not to move forward with design and construction. With your deposit, a Professional Retainer, we will move forward with Design and Construction Documents and a final, guaranteed, construction cost.
Changes to your Project Scope and Specifications after the Design/Construction Agreement has been delivered, will typically increase the cost and the duration of your project.
